Mobile Home in Homer Destroyed By Fire, Two Sought for Questioning

Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for two people believed to know more about a fire this morning that destroyed a trailer.

Firefighters in Homer responded to the fire at the New Village Estates Mobile Home Park on South Byron around 9am, where a mobile home in the park was fully engulfed in flames. A neighbor spotted two people fleeing the trailer after the fire, but could not catch them. Authorities also learned that the home was vacant.

The Michigan State Police Fire Marshal has been called in to determine a cause of the fire.

Investigators are seeking a white man, standing at 6'2" with a skinny build, last seen wearing dirty khaki pants, black sweatshirt and cap, and carrying a black backpack. They are also pursuing a white woman that stands at 5'10", also with a skinny build, wearing a black sweatshirt with a pink hood carrying a blue backpack.
