New York Times Pressured To Change Headline
Monday morning President Trump held a press conference concerning the weekend's mass shootings. At that press conference President Trump stated:
“The shooter in El Paso posted a manifesto online consumed by racist hate. In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart, and devours the soul. We have asked the FBI to identify all further resources they need to investigate and disrupt hate crimes and domestic terrorism — whatever they need.‘
After President Trump’s press conference the New York Times had a headline that read:
Trump Urges Unity vs. Racism
Well the Democratic Party could not believe that their media arm, the New York Times, would actually print a factual statement by President Trump. So they went on the warpath and delivered the following tweets and statements:
New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blasted the headline by tweeting that the front page should:
serve as a reminder of how white supremacy is aided by – and often relies upon – the cowardice of mainstream institutions.
New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand Tweeted:
That’s not what happened,
Cory Booker wrote:
Lives literally depend on you doing better, NYT. Please do.
‘Beto” O’Rourke called the headline:
Unbelievable
Well approximately an hour after the above headline went viral in a preview of Tuesday’s front page, the New York Times buckled under pressure of the Democratic Party and changed the headline to:
Assailing Hate But Not Guns
Sure the main stream media and certainly The New York Times are not biased in their coverage at all. The New York Times and the Democratic Party are not in bed with each other, those who think that are crazy.
The New York Times also announced that they have changed their famous slogan from "All the news that’s fit to print” to “All the news the Democratic Party Allows us to print”.
Good for them at least they are starting to be honest now.
