Sewer Work In Area Of Battle Creek Extended To Monday

A sewer line repair in Battle Creek will stretch into next week as more work needs to be done before completion. The line on Helen Montgomery Avenue began Wednesday and was expected to be completed by the end of the week. The work will now be completed on Monday, weather permitting.

The sewer line work has forced Helen Montgomery to be closed to thru traffic between North Wood Street and Saunders Court. Motorists should continue to try and find alternate routes and avoid that area of town.
