Sports: Lions lose, Pistons win; High School schedules
The Lions lost to the Steelers 20-15 at Ford Field on Sunday night. JuJu Smith-Schuster scored on a 97-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger late in the third quarter. Matthew Stafford was 27 of 45 for 423 yards with no interceptions, but no touchdowns. Matthew Prater booted three field goals. The Lions fall to 3-4 and have lost four of their last five. They’re on the road to play the Packers in Green Bay a week from tonight.
Monday Night Football
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs, 8:30 p.m.
Pistons
The Pistons beat the Golden State Warriors Sunday night, 115-107. The Pistons snapped a seven-game losing streak on Golden State's home floor. Avery Bradley scored 23 points for Detroit. Reggie Jackson added 22. Detroit beat the last unbeaten team in the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers, 95-87, on Saturday. The Pistons play the Lakers on Tuesday night as they go for a west coast sweep.
World Series
The Astros beat the Dodgers 13-12 in 10 innings to win game five of the World Series. It was billed as a pitchers' duel, but neither Dallas Keuchel nor Clayton Kershaw lasted five innings. The Astros hit five home runs on the night, but it was Alex Bregman two-out single in the bottom of the 10th that won the game. The Astros lead three games to two, and can win the series with Justin Verlander on the mound Tuesday in L.A.
Red Wings
The Red Wings finished their road trip with a 3-2 win over the Florida Panthers. The Wings head home for a Halloween game against the Phoenix Coyotes.
College Basketball
The MSU Spartan basketball team beat Georgia 80-68 Sunday in a hurricane relief exhibition game at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. Miles Bridges had 21 points and 10 rebounds. The Spartans host Hillsdale College on Friday. Be listening for your chance to win a pair of tickets.

The WMU Broncos host CMU on Wednesday night at Waldo Stadium.

Georgia climbed one spot to No. 2. In the AP College Football Poll after Ohio State beat Penn State. Alabama is still #1. The Tide are the only top-10 team to retain the same position it held last week. Ohio State climbed to third, followed by Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Clemson, Penn State, Oklahoma, Miami and TCU.

High School Football Playoffs
St. Philip lost 36-24 at Flint International Academy on Saturday. St. Philip ends the season at 5-5.
Harper Creek beat Coldwater 26-21 on Friday and move to the second round of the playoffs. They’ll host Stevensville-Lakeshore Friday, and we’ll have it for you on 95.3 WBCK.
Climax-Scotts beat Fulton 84-62 and play Pittsford in the next round. Pittsford beat the Panthers 28-14 in the regular season.
Bellevue beat Webberville 48-8 and will host Lawrence in round 2.
Delton-Kellogg beat Parchment and plays at Watervliet this weekend.
Maple Valley is still alive and plays at Saugatuck.
The football season ended for Union City, Athens, Olivet, Homer and Quincy.

NASCAR
It was a wild race Sunday at Martinsville Speedway. Kyle Busch is the first driver into NASCAR's championship race after using an overtime pass of teammate Denny Hamlin to win at Martinsville.
Golf
Ryan Armour has earned his first victory in 105 PGA starts by taking the Sanderson Farms Championship by five strokes over Chesson Hadley.
Bernhard Langer sank a 30-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to beat Miguel Angel Jimenez in the PowerShares QQQ Championship.
Cristie Kerr holed a 35-foot birdie putt on the final hole for an even-par 71 and a one-shot victory in the LPGA event in Malaysia.
