The Pistons beat Philadelphia 113-96 last night at the Palace.  Detroit led by nine at halftime, and then made its first six shots of the third quarter to pull ahead.  The Pistons went on to outscore Philadelphia 34-21 in the period and were never seriously challenged after that.  Detroit had seven players in double figures. Marcus Morris led the way with 19 points.  Andre Drummond had 16 points and 17 rebounds and Reggie Jackson scored 14.   Jon Leuer, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Aron Baynes had 12 each.   The Sixers were playing without 7-foot Rookie of the Year candidate Joel Embiid, who is out with a knee contusion.  Embiid was out the last time the Sixers played the Pistons, but Detroit lost that game.  With the win, the Pistons are 24-28, and 8th in the Eastern Conference.  They host the L-A Lakers on Wednesday night.

Pettigrew Arrested

Former Detroit Lion Brandon Pettigrew has been arrested in Oklahoma on misdemeanor complaints of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.  Police say Pettigrew was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday after officers found him pushing and arguing with two men outside a downtown Oklahoma City bar. Knight says the men were friends trying to get Pettigrew to leave and that he then refused orders from the officers to leave before being arrested.  He was released later Sunday. Pettigrew played in Detroit for seven seasons. He didn't play in 2016 after suffering a torn ACL and was released.
