Sports: Pistons, Red Wings Crushed
The Pistons lost to the Pacers, 115-98. The Pacers swept the four-game season series and moved two games in front of Detroit in the playoff chase. Indiana scored the first eight points and still led by eight at halftime. Tobias Harris had 22 points and Stanley Johnson had a season-high 17 for the Pistons. The Pistons battled back and took their only lead, 63-62 with 7:37 left in the third quarter. But Paul George then scored eight points during a 25-8 quarter-closing run to put the game away. Aron Baynes suffered a sprained right ankle in the game and is questionable for tonight’s game at the Palace against the Cleveland Cavaliers
Red Wings
The Red Wings lost 6-1 in Boston. David Krejci scored twice during a four-goal first period. Brad Marchand had his team-leading 31st and 32nd goals. Niklas Kronwall had his first goal of the season for Detroit. The Red Wings finished a five-game trip 1-3-1. Detroit starting goalie Jared Coreau was pulled after giving up three goals during a 2:25 span in what's likely his last game with the team before he's shipped back to the minors. They return home to play at home against the Blackhawks on Friday.
Tigers
The Tigers were off Wednesday, and play the Mets in Port St. Lucie today. Anibal Sanchez is scheduled to start for Detroit. His earned run average so far is 23.63.
MAC Tournament
WMU’s Women’s team beat CMU, 67-63. They play Northern Illinois Friday at 11am.

Toledo will play Ohio. EMU takes on top seeded Akron. Kent State plays Buffalo. The Semi Finals are Friday and the MAC Championship game is Saturday night.
Big Ten
Michigan plays Illinois at noon. They almost didn’t make it to Washington D.C. for the game, as their chartered jet attempted to take off in high winds, but slid off the runway at Willow Run Airport. The plane sustained some damage but the team, the band, and all on board were safely evacuated. The winner plays top seeded Purdue at noon on Friday.
MSU plays Penn State at 1:30pm on 95.3 WBCK. If the Spartans win that game, they’ll play 4th seeded Minnesota on Friday at 1:30pm.

Lions Moves
With tackle Riley Reiff and guard Larry Warford poised to reach the open market, the Detroit Lions are retooling their offensive line. Reports say the Lions have agreed in principle with former Ravens right tackle Ricky Wagner. The prospective deal is expected to eclipse $9 million annually, establishing a new market for right tackles.
The Detroit Lions have tendered contracts to three plyers. Defensive ends Kerry Hyder and Brandon Copeland and wide receiver TJ Jones are exclusive rights free agents, who have less than three years of experience and are unable to negotiate with other teams. Hyder had a team-high eight sacks last season, emerging as a surprising standout.
