The Golden State Warriors rolled over the Utah Jazz with a four-game sweep by beating the Jazz 121-95 in Salt Lake City. The Warriors and Cavaliers both have swept two opponents so far in their quest for a rematch of last year’s NBA championship series.

The San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets are tied at two games each and play game 5 tonight in San Antonio.

Washington and Boston are tied at two games.   Game 5 is Wednesday in Boston.

NHL Playoffs

The Washington Capitals force a game seven after beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 Monday.   Washington will have home ice on Wednesday night.

The Oilers play the Ducks in game 7 of their series tonight in Anaheim.

Ottawa leads the New York Rangers three games to two.  Game 6 is tonight in New Yor

KCC Wins Baseball Conference

The KCC Bruins baseball team had their backs to the wall after a 12-9 loss to Grand Rapids Community College, but came back for a game two 12-4 win to capture the MCCAA Western Conference Championship.  The Bruins play Lansing Community College on Thursday at Siena Heights University for the State Championship.

Grimes Steps Down as Coach

Pennfield High School Basketball Coach Steve Grimes has resigned.  Grimes was at the helm in Pennfield for eight years.

Grimes told Bill Broderick of the Battle Creek Enquirer, "I have been coaching a long time. And I'm not saying I am closing the door on coaching forever, but just thought it was time to step down as the Pennfield boys coach at this time."

Grimes was fired last year, but was brought back to the job because of the support of the community.   Pennfield Athletic Director Brett Steele said the process has already begun to look for a replacement.  Grimes is the second head coach to step down this spring.  St. Philip coach Dino English called it quits in late April.

Michigan Hires Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Michigan has hired Wesley Brooks as a women's basketball assistant coach. Brooks replaces Megan Duffy, who left to become the head coach at Miami of Ohio. Brooks graduated from West Virginia where he was a manager for the men's basketball team under then coach John Beilein, who is now the men's coach at Michigan.

Burleson to CBS Show

CBS is making another change to its cast for the "NFL Today" show on Sundays, replacing Bart Scott with former Lion Nate Burleson. Burleson is the second newcomer to the program, with Phil Simms moving from the broadcast booth to the studio. That switch was announced last month.

Griffins Beat Chicago

The Grand Rapids Griffins beat the Chicago Wolves 6-3 in game 4 of their best of seven. Grand Rapids has 3-1 lead in the Central Division Finals.

Mitch Callahan had a hat trick and the Griffins scored three goals in the second period.  Callahan got an empty net goal with 49 seconds left after goals in the first and second periods - his first goals of the postseason.

Martin Frk, Matt Lorito and Kyle Criscuolo each had a goal and Eric Tangradi had three assists.

The Griffins can wrap up the series with a win Saturday in Chicago.

Tigers

The Tigers start a series with the Diamondbacks in Phoenix tonight. Justin Verlander will start against former Tiger Robbie Ray.     Broadcast time is 9:15 on 95.3 WBCK.
