The campus and flight operations at the Battle Creek airport were shut down Friday after 6 people connected to the program tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
There’s little question the 77-year-old barber Manke will be back at work this morning. Now he has the protection of the State Supreme Court in his battle with Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer over her shutdown orders.
Retail stores are allowed to reopen today for in-person sales. Of course, the Governor is requiring continued adherence to safety protocols and capacity limits are being imposed.
Since being served with a notice from the state late last week that his license was void, Manke hasn’t worked. But he hasn’t stopped talking about his distaste for a shutdown order that is keeping him and millions of other residents statewide from earning a living.
