Could it be true that we may actually have too many jobs in this roaring economy?

We have come from an Obama Administration where wages were not going up because of Obama’s and the Democratic Party policies and attitudes toward business, to a Trump Administration where people are asking are there too many jobs.

Ron Sandlin, president of the Jacksonville, Fla. trucking firm Patriot Transportation, has tried all he can to attract more drivers.  He has boosted pay, added vacation days to his offers but he still can’t find enough qualified people to drive Patriot Transportation Holding’s oil trucks.

He was quoted in a Washington Post article stating:

I’ve been in this business since 1984, and I’ve never seen what we’re dealing with in terms of hiring people...Driver pay is going to have to continue to go up, and our customers are going to have to pay for it.

How times have you heard about those problems in the last decade?

In fact in a the Washington Post article there are several people who speak about the problem of finding people to fill open positions. In fact Art Mazor, a principal at Deloitte Consulting was quoted in the article stating:

Employees today have lots of options in all corners of industry, whether you’re in fast food or retail or investment banking…This feels super tight.

What a great problem and gift given to the people of the United States by President Trump and the Republican Party.  Hopefully we can keep this momentum going with all of the headwinds the Democratic Party is throwing up in the way of the policies that seem to be the reason why.

This is the best way in which we can raise the pay of citizens without direct government involvement, it may take some time for it to filter to all of us but as we can currently see the United States is certainly moving in the right direction.
