Two women were arrested in Marshall after a traffic stop last week where a passenger was seen hanging out of the sunroof.

According to the City of Marshall Police Department's Facebook page, authorities pulled the vehicle over on Hanover Street near Dobbins around 11:30pm March 20th after spotting the incident.

Authorities learned from the back seat passenger, a 39-year-old man, that he had a fake gun on him when they approached. He exited the vehicle from the officer’s order, and an open alcoholic beverage was found.

The driver, a 39-year-old woman, was found to have felony drug warrant and was arrested. The 41-year-old female passenger in the front seat was found to have drug paraphernalia and in possession of an open alcoholic beverage. She was also arrested. Both women were taken to the Calhoun County Jail pending arraignment.

The male passenger was given a citation for the open container for a future court appearance date. The vehicle was towed.

The investigation continues.
