In the title of this piece I ask a question; Who are the kinder and gentler people?  I am sure many are wondering in what context I am asking that question.  Well in the context of political ideology.

Why am I asking this question?  Because earlier this week it was a big story when liberal TV host Ellen DeGeneres’ was caught via a picture sitting next to former President Bush at the Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packer football game last Sunday and actually smiling and laughing.

Apparently her liberal buddies did not like that she was sitting with the former President Bush and actually smiling.  Because of the reaction from the Democrats/liberal/Progressives, whatever they want to call themselves today she tweeted out the following:

I’m friends with George Bush. In fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different and I think that we've forgotten that that’s OK…When I say 'be kind to one another,' I don’t mean only the people that think the same way that you do. I mean be kind to everyone. Doesn’t matter.

She is exactly right and for years Republicans have been trying to convey this very same sentiment.  Well that response just angered the far left even more.

A very left liberal activist actor, Mark Ruffalo, did not like what Ellen said and responded to her tweet with the following:

Sorry, until George W. Bush is brought to justice for the crimes of the Iraq War, (including American-lead torture, Iraqi deaths & displacement, and the deep scars–emotional & otherwise–inflicted on our military that served his folly), we can’t even begin to talk about kindness

Liberal movie actress Susan Sarandon also took issue with her having the audacity to be friends with someone who has different political ideas than her tweeted:

Missing the point entirely, DeGeneres framed the issue as simply a matter of her hanging out with someone with different opinions, not a man repeatedly accused of being a war criminal.

Vanity Fair tweeted:

For decades, Ellen DeGeneres has been the sunny representative for a brighter world we might all live in if we were kinder to one another. But that imagined utopia seems increasingly out of touch with reality

As I have been saying for years now, the people who have taken over the Democratic Party are filled with a searing hate a hate that they cannot quench.  Hate takes over your mind, heart and eventually your soul.  For those who are religious, who pushes hate in people’s minds, who tries to divide people?

Why can’t people with different political views still be friends and even love each other.  Can you imagine living in these liberals/democrats world?  A world where the people who surround them as well as their loved ones must agree with everything they say or they will be hated.  They will have the raft of the devil brought down upon them.  Remember Alex Baldwin’s phone message to his 11 year old daughter or Robert De Niro recent profanity-laced voice message to his assistant Chase Robinson.

That is who many of these people are, look at the number or people who have lost friendships and relationships over the fact that they believe in the ideology of the right and not the left.  Their so called friends and family members who are liberals/democrats have ended their relationships with them because they have the audacity to not think like them.

Rodney King was right when he asked “Can we all get along”.  Well Rodney apparently people on the left believe we cannot.

Those of us on the right believe we can all get along.  So let us bring down the temperature a bit and realize we can still be friendly with each other and actually like someone who thinks differently then us.

Updated 10-10-19 at 4:30 pm:I am sad to inform you that the good feelings that Ellen shared may not be completely true.  In 2017 she said on-air that she would never have President Trump on her show.  This does not mean we should not attempt to be nice to each other no matter what we believe in.
