Woman Killed After Crash With Tree Identified

A Cooper Township woman was found dead on Sunday morning, after a crash in a remote area.

MLive reports that the body of 66-year-old Katherine Lipka was found several hours after the crash happened along 9^th St in Oshtemo Township by a passerby, with Kalamazoo County authorities estimating the incident happened around 7am.

The woman apparently failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to leave the road and strike a tree; the woman's body was found several feet from the vehicle after she apparently crawled away from the accident.

Authorities believe that alcohol may been a factor.
