A man was arrested early this morning for allegedly driving a front end loader while drugged.

Battle Creek Police responded to the area of Morgan and Temple around 1:40am Wednesday, on reports of a vehicle fire.  Officers learned at the scene that at least one person had left the scene of the damaged vehicle.

Investigators then went to the residence registered to the damaged vehicle, and were speaking with the resident when a 29-year-old suspect pulled into the yard in a front end loader they apparently stole from the scene of the fire.

The suspect was arrested on charges of unlawful driving, driving under the influence of drugs, and malicious destruction of property.
