Michigan's population has grown slightly in the past year, but the marginal rise still could spell the loss of another congressional seat in a few years. The state's population rose about 0.1 percent, or 6,270 residents, between July 2014 and last July. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates show the slowest growth since 2012, when the state reversed a period of decline.
