Police: Albion Shooter and Victim Likely Knew Each Other
Authorities in Albion investigating a recent shooting that left a man in critical condition believe that the victim knew the shooter. They also say that there are indications that the incident stemmed from some kind of disagreement.
The Battle Creek Enquirer says the search continues for the suspect. Albion Police responded to a home in the 400 block of Fitch Street Monday evening. The 41-year-old victim was preparing to leave for work and was approached by a suspect with a handgun who fired at least four shots and then fled. The Calhoun county Sheriff’s office was called in and a K-9 unit tried to track the suspect, but with no success.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but his current condition has not been reported. His name has not been released. Police said a woman was inside the house at the time of the shooting.
