A male suspect is on the loose after robbing and assaulting two elderly men in Battle Creek. The man was said to have used a metal pipe to carry out the attack before fleeing with cash.

Battle Creek police officers responded to the first block of South Avenue at around 8:00 pm Wednesday evening. The two men, ages 73 and 72, said the suspect was wearing a mask when he entered their home and assaulted them. The suspect was able to obtain an an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the residence.

Both men were taken to Bronson Battle Creek to receive treatment for what were described as minor injuries and they are expected to be ok. Police called in their K-9 unit to try and track down the suspect. He was unable to be located. Anyone with information on the case or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area should contact Battle Creek authorities.
