One person was killed Monday in a single vehicle crash in rural Calhoun County.

WWMT says that according to authorities, just before 9am Monday a driver reported to police they saw a vehicle flipped over on the side of the road on H Drive S near 6 Mile Rd. in Newton Township. When first responders got there, they found the driver, 19-year-old Ty Fuller, dead. Investigators looked into the scene and say that the crash happened around 6am Monday, where the vehicle left the road and hit several trees before flipping over.

Right now, it’s believed that speed was a factor in the accident, but it remains under investigation.
