Child Drowns In Battle Creek Community Pool

An eight year-old girl was pulled from a community pool, in Battle Creek, around 8 PM Friday evening.

Emergency personnel arrived quickly at the scene, in the 200 block of Taft Court, to find the young child unconscious and unresponsive. CPR was started and the child was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The incident is still under investigation and the name of the young victim is being withheld at this time
