Envelope Believed To Contain Pot Found At Family Fare In B.C.
Someone tried to mail pot from a postal slot at Family Fare, would you dare? You can call it Postal Pot or even Medicinal Mail but the police call it illegal.
Battle Creek police are still investigating after a package was delivered to Family Fare on Columbia Avenue last Thursday. Employees said they could smell what they thought was marijuana in an envelope dropped off in the outgoing mail slot. Authorities said that a woman dropped off the envelope addressed to Oregon. The envelope remained sealed when police seized it. They are still conducting an investigation into the package.
WWMT reports,
Battle Creek Police Sgt. Nicholas Woolman said, "There are ways to track the individual who dropped it off, you have signatures they leave, video surveillance." Police are testing the package to see whether it did, in fact, have marijuana inside it. Woolman said, "You'd be looking at a pretty serious offense. It's federal, it's a felony."
