Free Fishing In Michigan
This Saturday and Sunday if you do not have a fishing license for the state or Michigan no problem.
Michigan is holding its annual "free fishing weekend" to promote the sport in our great state. Be reminded though you will still be expected to observe all of Michigan's fishing regulations.
Some of the events being held are:
A “Fish ‘N Float” event Saturday at Stuart’s Landing in Calhoun County will include youth fishing and casting contests, root beer floats and much more.
Also on Saturday, the DNR’s Cheboygan field office is hosting a youth fishing tournament and Genesee County’s Kids Fishing Club is offering lessons. Also Lake Linden-Hubbell Sportsmen’s Club Rice Lake Fishing Derby in Houghton County is scheduled for Sunday.
