The Battle Creek Central Bearcats find themselves with a schedule in December that will keep them at the Central Field House for four games in the first month of the season.

The home cooking stops when it comes to the teams the Bearcats have to play. After a victory over the Jackson Vikings on Tuesday, Central welcomed the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants to the Field House.

The Giants were playing their opener of the 2019-2020 season after a 14-5 season last year that ended in a first round district defeat to the Mattawan Wildcats. The Giants have won the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference East every year since joining the division in 2014-2015. They also have never lost a divisional game in that time, winning 48 straight games in the SMAC East.

On a Friday the 13th night and the full moon was out, anything is possible for Battle Creek Central to snap a 10-game divisional losing streak to the Maroon Giants.

Check out the recap of our Game of the Night and all the scores from the first Friday night in the High School Boys Basketball ranks.
