The Boys Basketball Districts heat up this week as several area teams look to continue what could have been a fantastic 2020 postseason cut short due to a global pandemic

It became long overdue earlier this week with the return of the Girls Basketball playoffs in the Michigan High School Athletic Association.

Two of the youngest teams in the area took to the floor for their second meeting in just over a week Wednesday night in our Game of the Night on WBCK.

As teams prepare for the Michigan High School Athletic Association postseason in 2021, conference races heat up and in some cases revenge from earlier losses.

The two teams that would have represented the finalists of the Michigan High School Athletic Association's Division 2 District Finals at Harper Creek in 2020 finally got their match-up 341 days later.

The year of local high school sports in 2020 had the prospect of being epic, kicked off by several close games on the hardwood and a stellar season in the upcoming fall for the area football teams.

UPDATE (March 12th - 2:25pm) - The MHSAA has suspended all winter sports tournaments immediately and indefinitely. Another update is expected later Thursday.
