For just the third time in school history, the Marshall Redhawks had an opportunity to move on to the Michigan High School Athletic Association's State Quarterfinals. The task was to beat the Williamston Hornets, a team in their third straight Class B Regional Final.

The Redhawks were facing their second state-ranked team in the postseason after eliminating eighth-ranked Olivet in the District Semifinal a week ago. After Monday's Regional Semifinal, Marshall remained as the lone team representing the Interstate 8.

The Hornets looked to continue their long winning streak, entering the Regional Final winning 16 straight and not losing in the 2018 calender year. Williamston eliminated the only other team from the Capital Area Athletic Conference's White Division Monday over Ionia. The Hornets also racked up an undefeated conference record and won the division by four games over Ionia.

Marshall, along with Bellevue, were the only remaining teams in the area with a chance to move on in the playoffs. Check out the recap below to see if they have advanced.
