Four of the five City teams are in action tonight, and we'll hit the road to follow a team tied atop the Interstate 8 in our High School Football Game of the Night.

For the first time since 2013, the last year they were in the Kalamazoo Valley Association, the Pennfield Panthers are 2-0 to start conference play. It's their best start since beginning 2-1 overall in 2016, their last playoff appearance.

In order to stay on top, first-year head coach Mike Clothier's squad will have to knock off the Coldwater Cardinals on the road, who are seeking a fifth straight postseason bid. Even though the Cardinals are 1-2 overall and at .500 in the I-8, a win at home could catapult them towards the upper half of the league.

All but one game in the area takes place tonight, including Battle Creek Central looks to stay undefeated at home and first-year head coach Jerry Diorio looks for his first win at Lakeview, as they travel west. With a preview of tonight's contest, check out the video from below.
