A jury in Jackson County has convicted a man of all charges relating to a shooting at a party.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot says that 40-year-old Leandrew Martin was on trial for charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, four counts of felony firearm, and four other felony weapons counts; on Tuesday, he was found guilty on all counts by the jury. The charges stemmed from an incident that took place outside the Kingston’s Lounge and the neighboring Avenues Gentleman’s Club in Jackson, in July 2018.

According to witnesses, an argument broke out outside of the club, where a party was being held. The argument eventually turned into a fight with around 20 people taking place, at which point security footage shows Martin pulling out a gun and firing 10 shots at a close distance. Only one person was hurt, a man who was shot in the foot.

Due to prior violent crime convictions, Martin faces at least 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced in March.
