A man from Indiana has been arrested for allegedly groping a young girl at Battle Creek’s National Cereal Festival.

The Battle Creek Enquirer says that police were contacted Saturday morning by the 16-year-old girl and her mother; the girl says that she had been standing near Jackson and McCamly Streets, when she initially thought the man bumped into her, prompting her to say sorry. She says he then replied “I'll bet you’re sorry”.

Police managed to find the man, a 24-year-old formerly from Battle Creek who now lives in Indiana. He said he would never grab a girl, and that people had been bumping into him all day.

The man was arrested in connection to this incident.
