Motorcyclist Killed on Main Street in Battle Creek on Thursday

A 56 year old motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning in Battle Creek.

Battle Creek police say it happened shortly before 10:30am on Main St near Kingman Avenue.   The man was pronounced dead at the scene resulting in the fatality of a 56 year old man.  A witness told WBCK that the bike was headed north on Main Street, toward downtown, possibly at a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control, hit a roadside curb and was thrown from the vehicle.   Police were still at the scene investigating as of noon, and had Main Street blocked off.
