Meet Jax, this weeks featured pet available for adoption at the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.

Jax loves attention and was not shy about seeking love from everyone who was near by when he came to our studios. At only 8 months old, Jax can be energetic and will sometimes jump up say hello and get pets. A good reason it is suggested he go to a forever home without small children.

Jax is listed as a Australian Cattle Dog mix, but he likely has a healthy combination of different breeds that include Australian Cattle Dog. HSSCM staff and volunteers say Jax isn't big on sharing and may be better suited as the only dog in a home but could do well with certain dogs, pending a meet and greet. He is currently a medium sized dog and has more growing to do. He will likely be a smaller sized large dog when fully grown. Jax has a beautiful fur coat with many colors including red, chestnut, black, orange, white and cream. He does pretty good on a leash and does well in his kennel. Jax does have a tendency to chew random things he finds around him, not abnormal for his age.
