This weeks featured pet available for adoption at the Humane Society of South Central Michigan is Serena. Serena could not have been happier when she arrived to find our crew waiting to greet her. While still excited, she had no problems showing her well mannered side by sitting right down at our feet while patiently waiting for head pets, ear scratches and tummy rubs.

Serena is a sweet, playful girl who loves being pet and and waits very patiently for treats. She would be better in a home with kids who are at least 10 years of age or older, and would benefit from having a fenced in yard. She would need to meet any other dogs in a home but so far does not do as well with other female dogs. Even though Serena is not a small girl, she is scared of cats and would prefer to be in a dog only home.

Serena is a very smart girl who wants to please and has already learned a few commands.
