Shooting In Kalamazoo Late Monday Leaves One Injured
Authorities in Kalamazoo are looking into a shooting that took place late Monday night, that sent one person to the hospital.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says their officers were called to the 500 block of Elizabeth St. in the Northside neighborhood just after 11:30pm Monday, in reports of a person being shot; when officers got there, they did find the scene, and also learned that the victim had been taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. The victim was in stable condition as of Tuesday morning.
The KDPS says that at this time, the investigation is in its early stages, and that "there is limited suspect information." Anyone with information relevant to the investigation is asked to contact the KDPS, or to leave an anonymous tip with Silent Observer.
This shooting comes after a pair of shootings that took place in Kalamazoo over the weekend; the first incident took place Saturday night, and left three people with injuries, while the second early Sunday morning left one victim dead.
