Here's where the majority of Michigan's $144 million goes

This news is going to bring back memories from several years ago, when PFAS was top of mind for a lot of people living in the Kalamazoo area.

There’s growing concern about a class of chemicals referred to as PFAS. The Michigan Health and Human Services Department is looking for paid volunteers to participate in health studies to learn more about PFAS.

A $1 Million dollar grant has been awarded for western Michigan to study the long term health affects of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly referred to as PFAS.

The order affects deer taken within five miles of Clark’s Marsh in Oscoda County

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy and the U.S. Air Force made the announcement together this morning.

Includes advise on swimming, pets and identifying PFAS foam vs. non-PFAS foam.
