The Battle Creek Police is seeking the public’s help following Sunday’s shooting that killed one man and injured three other men.

Officers responded to the area of Kendall Street and Dickman Road around 3:30am Sunday morning where 23-year-old Wendell Davis was shot. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

The other men, between the ages of 22 and 24, were taken in for non-life threatening injuries and have since been released. The other men were also interviewed by authorities.

Investigators believe that the shots were fired from another vehicle, where pistol-caliber shell casings were recovered from the scene. They believe a handgun was used.

Authorities are asking from surveillance video from the perimeter of the shooting on South Kendell, just south of Dickman from 3am to 3:30am. The roads involved include Eldred Street from Capital Avenue Southwest and Meachem Avenue, Meachem from Eldred and Upton Avenue, Upton from Meachem and South Kendall, and South Kendell between Upton and West Dickman. A map below shows the area of preference, provided from the Battle Creek Police Department.
