Two Seriously Hurt In Saturday Morning Crash In Battle Creek

Two men were seriously hurt in a crash early Saturday morning in Battle Creek.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that an officer discovered the crash on W. Michigan Ave. near N. Cedar St. in the Urbandale area around 2:20am Saturday, where two cars collided. Initial investigation shows that a vehicle had been attempting to turn onto Cedar, when a car travelling on W. Michigan crashed into it.

The driver of the turning vehicle was taken to Bronson Kalamazoo in critical condition, while the other driver was hospitalized in Battle Creek with injuries described as serious. This crash remains under investigation by an accident reconstructionist.

The BCPD isn’t saying road conditions were a factor, although roads in that area were slippery Saturday morning.
