Area High School Homecoming Parade Routes To Cause Closures
Road closures are taking place Friday and Saturday in Battle Creek so area schools can hold their homecoming parades.
The City of Battle Creek says that Friday afternoon from 4:30 to 6:45pm, closures will be in effect for Battle Creek Central's homecoming. The parade route is as follows:
-Start in the area of W.K. Kellogg Auditorium on Van Buren St.
-South on Capital Ave.
-West on Michigan Ave. to United Way
-N. on United Way. to Champion St.
-Ends in parking lot of C.W. Post Field
Friday from 5 to 6:30pm, closures take place for Lakeview's homecoming. their parade begins in the parking lot of the Columbia Plaza on S. 20th St, and travels like so:
-West on Territorial Rd.
-South on 28th St.
-Ends in the area of the Lakeview Middle School
On Saturday from noon to 1, streets will be closed for St. Philip Catholic Central's parade. The parade begins at the St. Philip Tiger Room on W. Van Buren St:
-North on Monroe
-West on Van Buren
-North on the one way drive west of Battle Creek Central
-Ends in the parking lot of C.W. Post Field
The city asks that everyone be careful around the parade routes as the weave through.
Besides the city schools, Harper Creek High School is holding their homecoming parade Friday at 5pm as well, and that goes as follows:
-East on Trappers Ridge
-South on Beadle Lake Rd.
-West on B Dr. N
-Ends at High School Football Parking Lot.
