Battle Creek Police continue to investigate an allegation on an attempted abduction of a 10 year-old boy on November 10th in the 100 block of Winter Street.

The boy claimed that he had been in the backyard of his home, when a masked man approached and attempted to abduct him. The boy said that he bit the man’s hand and then fled to a neighboring home. Authorities say that they take the allegation seriously, but don’t have any evidence that corroborates the boy’s claim. There have not been any other attempts at abducting children in the neighborhood or anywhere else in Battle Creek.

The only description that police have of the suspect is that he was a male, dressed in all dark clothing, wearing a ski mask.

Police urge people to remain on the alert and inform their children on the importance of avoiding strangers.
