An arrest warrant has been brought against the alleged victim of an armed robbery in Battle Creek because she failed to show up in court.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that on Tuesday, a preliminary examination was set to take place in Calhoun County Court for 22-year-old Dernel Gothard and 18-year-old Oshea Robinson.  The two are accused of breaking into a mobile home on Baughman Ct. in Bedford Township in late February.

They allegedly were masked, and one was armed with a knife, when they allegedly choked the victims and tied them up. They then robbed the victims of a cell phone, cash and possibly medication.

They could get life in prison on their charges, however the hearing was adjourned because the younger alleged victim failed to show up, despite being subpoenaed by prosecutors. Now, the victims will be tasked with picking the suspects out in a lineup before any further court action takes place.
