Attempted Abduction Of Child In Battle Creek

At 8:00 PM, Saturday evening, a six-year-old child was playing in their yard when a man, driving a vehicle, attempted to lure them into his car. Fortunately, a family member stepped out of the house and witnessed the incident and the man quickly sped away from the scene.

Battle Creek Police were alerted to the 100 Block of Harris Street and gathered information to begin a search for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing sunglasses driving an older red Chevy Cavalier 2 door with tinted windows and no license plate.
