A 24 year old Battle Creek man was shot early Sunday while walking in the parking lot of The Music Factory at 191 Angell Street. Battle Creek police reported hearing shots at 12:12 a.m. and a witness saw a man shooting. Not long after, the victim arrived at Bronson Battle Creek. He said he and a friend were walking in the lot when he was shot from behind. He was shot in the right shoulder and also sustained a graze wound to his chin. The victim told police his friend drove him his car parked outside a convenience store on the north side and then the victim drove himself to the hospital. He told officers he did not know who shot him. Police found several 9 mm shell casings on the sidewalk near Upton Avenue and Angell Street where the witness said he saw the shooter.
