Police are looking for a man who stole from the purse of a resident at a Battle Creek retirement home.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that on Monday, a man walked into the retirement facility and began trying doors to see if they were unlocked. When he found an unlocked door he entered and spoke with the elderly female resident in the private room. He asked her for a glass of water, and when she walked away to get it he got into her purse and stole several items from it.

He then left, and fled the scene in a black vehicle, possibly a Chevy Cruze. Police did not says which retirement home in the Battle Creek area this crime took place at.

The BCPD says that if you know this person, or have any information regarding this theft, you’re asked to contact them or to call Silent Observer anonymously.
