Man Critical After Overnight Shooting In Battle Creek

A man is in critical condition after a shooting early Wednesday morning, and now Battle Creek authorities are attempting to track down those responsible.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that they were called to the area of Oaklawn and Howland St shortly after midnight Wednesday, to find a large crowd, and a man lying with a gunshot wound to his stomach. Authorities say that the 31-year-old was taken to a Kalamazoo hospital, with his condition described as critical but stable.

At this time no suspects have been identified, so police ask that citizens with tips contact them, or Silent Observer.
