Calhoun County authorities are investigating a rollover crash that ended up sending a parked vehicle into a home.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that they were called just before midnight Monday to a residence in the 26,000 block of Anderson Rd. in Albion Township, for a rollover accident. The accident took place just south of Duck Lake, in the northeast corner of Calhoun County.

Investigation shows the suspect SUV had been heading westbound when it lost control and rolled over, striking a Jeep parked in the driveway and throwing that Jeep into the structure. The driver of the SUV fled the scene of the accident, but they were later identified as a 43-year-old woman from Springport.

The woman was taken by a private vehicle to the hospital, with what was described as critical, but non-life threatening injuries.

Right now, deputies believe alcohol and speed were factors in the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
