Elm St. Closed Near Michigan Ave. Until End Of The Week

A stretch of Elm Street in Battle Creek will be closed to thru traffic "for the remainder of this week", according to the City.

In a release, the city says that from now until at least Friday, March 3, Elm Street from East Michigan Avenue to the area of Shouldice Brothers will be closed. The closure is taking place, to allow crews to replace a sewer line.

The area will still be accessible to emergency vehicles, and to customers going to Shouldice Brothers and Consumers Energy. Thru traffic will need to use Michigan Ave, Division St, Van Buren St. and Union St. to get where they need to go.
