Arraignment is set for Friday for an Indiana woman accused of leading police on a chase near Constantine late Wednesday night.

The Michigan State Police Marshall Post, White Pigeon Detachment says that the incident began around 11pm on US 12 in St. Joseph County, where a trooper attempted to stop a speeding vehicle. The car instead sped off, reaching speeds up to 85 mph, and in the pursuit the suspect vehicle hit a trooper’s car and a bystander’s car.

No one was injured, however.

The chase eventually came to an end on US-131 in Constantine, and led to the arrest of the 26-year-old woman from Plymouth, Indiana. Authorities do believe she was on drugs during the chase. She was arrested on charges of Felony Assault, Possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana, and Operating While Intoxicated(drugs), along with further felonies related to the alleged ramming of vehicles.

The suspect’s name with be released after arraignment, with bond set at $75,000.
