The Island Inside the Irving Park Lagoon in Battle Creek Just Sunk
The lagoon at Irving Park in Battle Creek near the hospital is a popular spot for ice skating in the winter and for watching ducks and geese in the summer. The pond features a small island - that's now two island as a part of the land sunk into the water recently.

The lagoon has long been considered one of the most scenic spots in the city. This linen postcard, currently for sale on eBay, shows a scene from 1942.
