Is The Democratic Party A Party Of Serious People?
I keep looking for serious people in the elected class of the Democratic Party, I have totally given up in their punditry and strategist class.
Now the leader, in title only, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was at 110th convention of the NAACP National Convention in Detroit yesterday. By the way, as a side note I find it interesting that the NAACP’s theme of the convention this year is “when we fight, we win”. Sounds a bit aggressive to me, how about you? Can you imagine a right leaning organization having as their theme .“when we fight, we win”.
Well back to what I originally wanted to say in this piece. Head of the Democratic Party, in name only, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said the right to vote faces a “serious sustained threat”.
Really, does anyone really believe that anyone is trying to take the right to vote away from anyone who is legally allowed to vote? This is why so many people believe that there is no really serious people in the Democratic Party, because serious people do not say such foolish things.
Or maybe Nancy was talking about her parties 2008 incident in which Black Panthers wore intimidating military looking outfits and were armed with clubs standing outside a polling place in Philadelphia.
Even former Democratic activist Bartle Bull called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.
Attorney General Eric Holder and his "wingman" Obama refused to charge these thug with a crime. That was certainly the Democratic Party attempting to stop people from voting.
