Man Arrested After Late Night Shooting In Battle Creek

A man was arrested in Battle Creek late Thursday night after allegedly shooting at someone.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that around 11:30pm Thursday, officers responded to the 200 block of Taft Ct. on reports of a shooting, that apparently was related to an argument. The suspect, a 26-year-old Battle Creek man, was found hiding in a nearby apartment, and he was arrested without incident.

A gun was also found at the residence, so the man will be facing charges of assault and weapons violations.

Authorities say no one was hurt in the shooting.
