Two Kids Attempted To Use Fake Cash

Battle Creek Police were called to the Dollar Tree store located at 5700 Beckley Road at 6:23 p.m. Thursday. Authorities say two young boys attempted to make a purchase at the store using counterfeit money. The store clerk said the young boys entered the store and attempted to buy some snacks and pay with a $20 bill but the clerk told officers she realized the bill was counterfeit. The boys left without being apprehended. She described the two as being about 12 or 13 years old.
