UPDATE - Snow removal emergency was lifted as of 8am Tuesday, January 29th.

As snow continues to fall in Michigan, the City of Marshall is working to clear their roads of snow over the next 24 hours.

The City announced that they have declared a city-wide snow removal emergency that begins Monday, January 28th at 9pm. The length of time during this emergency has not been announced, but the City stated that a termination will be announced.

This emergency affects those that normally park in the street in Marshall. Any vehicle that is parked on the roadway within the city limits after 9pm will be towed. Those that have their vehicle towed will be issued a citation with a fine and also pay expenses for the tow.

The City stated that due to forecasted snow accumulations of greater that four inches, the emergency was issued.
