Pothole Tracker – The City Hall Crater
As the season is close to turning from winter to spring, area roads drastically change. That means your driving habits may change.
Welcome to the first installment of the Pothole Tracker, a series of stories pointing out where some of the most massive damage to the roads can cause massive damage to your vehicle if you don't avoid them.
Our first pothole is located smack dab in downtown Battle Creek and in one of the busier areas during the work day. It's located on Hamblin Avenue just south the Calhoun County Justice Complex and west of the Haven of Rest.
This is more than a pothole. It's a crater! Even as I took a few photos, a semi passing by bottomed out.
There are other potholes that will arise over the next few months. If you know of a pothole or see one on your every day drive, don't hesitate to let me know. It can be in Battle Creek, Calhoun County or anywhere in Southwest Michigan. Just send me an email and I can track it here. We may vote on the best one this year!
