With Spring in full swing, the opportunity to clean and recycle is coming this weekend.

The Calhoun County Community Development Department is holding a recycling event at Bailey Park Saturday, April 1st, from 9am to 1pm for Calhoun County residents. Some of the items that can be recycled include certain Styrofoam, appliances, electronics, household hazardous waste other than latex paint, and medications.

The department advises those planning on recycling to use the Wagner Drive entrance.

This is the first of five events being held this year, but this event will allow the largest amount of items being taken in as recyclable. There are also several recycling sites throughout the county.
